Dr. PhanThe T. Phan, D.D.S., M.D.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Phan is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley, Dr. Phan continued his education at the New York University College of Dentistry, where he received his D.D.S. degree and graduated in the top his class. He earned numerous awards for clinical and academic excellence, and was inducted into the National Dental Honor Society.

Pursuing his interest in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Phan completed a six-year training program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York. He has received awards for academic research and is published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Phan also received his M.D. degree from the Stony Brook University School of Medicine and completed a one-year internship in general surgery at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York.

As a highly trained Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Phan specializes in Bone Grafting, Dentoalveolar Surgery, Dental Implants, and Outpatient Anesthesia. 


KhourySam F. Khoury, D.M.D.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Dr. Sam F. Khoury was born and raised in San Francisco. He graduated from Santa Clara University in 1999 and pursued a career in research. His interest in finding new therapeutics led him to consider a career in the healthcare field. In 2001, he attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated in 2005. Dr. Khoury graduated in the top 5% of his class and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. In addition to his scholastic achievements, he obtained numerous research grants from the National Institute of Health (NIH).

In 2005, Dr. Khoury returned to Northern California to complete a four-year residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Highland General Hospital/Alameda County Medical Center. During his residency, he also trained at Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center, Children's Hospital Oakland, and University of the Pacific in San Francisco.

Dr. Khoury has published several scientific articles which have won national awards. He also teaches at the University of the Pacific and is an attending surgeon at Highland General Hospital in Oakland, where he trains residents. In addition, he is a member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the California Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.

His practice interests encompass a full-scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with a focus on dentoalveolar surgery, implants, pathology, and orthognathic surgery.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Khoury enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, and biking.
